Passing gear...

Is the passing gear initiated by the PCM because mine quit working after header install and messing with the Predator?

Did you retune your car back to stock and see if it fixed your problem?

The converter unlock and downshift are controlled by the pcm. They use a table with MPH & TPS% as the inputs.
