Default Engine combination ??

I was hoping to get some comments/advice on an engine combination. This is my 16yr sons high school S-10 smallblock. Right now it's a 4 bolt cast bottom 350 with a 292 series 501/501 comp cam with Aluminum L-98 D port heads, performer dualplane and a 3310 750 somewhere around 9.5 compression would be a guess and a 350 turbo w/kit and a 2500 stall with 28" tires and a 4:11 gear. The motor was bought as is and the cam's deff a mis match for our present set-up.

Our goal was to re-build something that would be somewhat( summer) streetable/daily driver and have some good lumpy tailpipe noise and run on pump gas. We wanted to run a 150/200 shot of Nitrous and achieve around 500 + hp on the bottle and somewhere around 350/375 off the bottle. In simple term we want something healthy sounding and make some HP on the bottle we were hoping for some times around to mid 7"s in the 1/8

Although we know we need to change camshafts and update to some forged pistons/rods/crank we are unsure if our L-98 cylinder heads are worthy & worth the dollars spent to update/port to acheive our goal and if they would work with the Nitrous plans. Were a little unsure of what camshaft to use and we are leaning toward the lunati "vodoo" 489/501 and 223/236@50 dual pattern. Not sure what style of piston and what compression to run, wether to run a flattop at 10:5 or to use a dished piston with lower compression

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you might want to wait more than 3 and half hours to get a response next time. also remember that when you **** people off and act like a smart *** people dont care to help you.

I agree as well, give it some times before blowing up b/c of no responses.

Forged pistons are a good idea if you are thinking of spraying it, and the came choice sounds decent.
The compression ratio should be kept 10.5:1 max if not lower than that for pump gas.
I'm not an expert on the heads but there are better ones out there that would help out the combo I'm sure for the times you are looking to run.
Consider a 2800-3400 stall convertor to help get the car in the powerband quicker, and also consider a performer rpm intake and double pumper carb
I'd say 375 hp NA and close to 500 hp on the squeeze should get you there if everything goes right.
