things you wish you knew before getting into FI
for all you S/C and T/C guys out there i know there are many things forgotten and not thought of when starting out.
any thing from planning your drive line, fuel system, CI size... anything.
so i was just curious what things you messed up on or you wish you knew before you got started.
any and all comments are great!
Thanks,
Tyler

Third that I wish I went to 60's instead of 42's. I wish that I would have bought the UMI TQ arm instead of the basic BMR. I am glad that I went with the beefed 9" right away... wish I would have stuck to a 31 spline vs: a 35. Wish I would have started with a T-70 or 72 trim starting out and kept the Psi low vs a 60 trim and starting at 9lbs (That way I have growth room when I forge the bottom end).

i wouldnt have done it at all if someone would have told me i would always want just a little more than what my time and money allowed....reguardless of the time and money you put in.
if i could do it over i think i'd stay stock computer, stock engine, run 10psi and meth and leave it alone.. and cheap to fix... and still beat anything on the street i would run into normally.

I probably should have done a turbo, I think I could run a few tenths quicker from the flatter torque curve and less parasitic loss at the same boost level. Would like to switch and pick up something like a TTi race kit but that will be another 5-6k investment at least, not sure if thats worth a few tenths at this point.
But I'm really not too upset about it since the car exceeded my goals and I still drive it some almost every day so I find it hard to complain too much. I pretty much knew what I wanted to do from the start, doing a combination over 10 times is where they turn into a money pit..

I got a set of tubular turbo headers if you want to "fab" something up
