Street Racing & Kill Stories - got my ass waxed this mornin

By NC's Finest....our State trooper's ......He "said" he clocked me doing "78 in a 55"...I asked to see the radar but he wouldnt allow me, but he "insist" on seeing me in court if I want to fight the ticket so yeah... what should i do guys??:confused:

Go to court, you asked to see the radar and he would not show you. Do they not HAVE to show you the gun if you request it?

Isn't there some sort of proof they do have? I was sleeping on a long distance trip in the back seat and awoke to a state trooper talking to the driver. My friend said he knew he wasn't speeding and asked for a print out or something like that (it was many years ago) and the trooper ended up letting us go.

It was in Georgia though, so maybe state laws differ? No clue. Good luck with it.

I hate tickets, if you fight them the cops are crooked and in with the judge and you lose and if you don't fight them your ins goes up and you gotta pay the damn fine. So you're hosed either way.

When I got a ticket, all I did was be polite, dont BS, and then called my lawyer. Payed 2x and got 90day probation in that county and had no record of it.

Some cops are qualified to estimate a speeding vehicles rate of speed. However, no cop can estimate a motorcyles rate of speed and write them a ticket because motorcycles look like they are going much faster than they really are.

I learned this is my motorcycle endorsement class. I live in florida, maybe its different in your state, maybe its not.

the COP dose not have to show you the GUN NORE dose he have to show the judge .. only thing they have to prove in court is that it works fine and the cop knwo show to use it correctly.. best thing to do is come in and the cop will be there he will talk to you and i bet he will DOWN GRADE The tickit for you himself before u go infront of the judge or u will speak the the prossecuter and he will down grade it some.. either way thats the out come good luck

I'm in the middle of the same sort of argument. I was heading to NC (still Va) and got caught doing 75 in a 55 while I was passing 3 tractor trailers that were passing each other and as soon as I got past them and went around a turn he got me. He was a pretty laidback guy. I asked him I could see the gun but he said there wasn't anything on it, it had all ready cleared. He just said I didn't have go to court just pay the fine... that's okay... I'll see him in court, maybe if I'm lucky he won't be there.

ok buddy 1st off pay the ticket...if i wanted i could pay the cops salery ....2nd if i wanted i could have ran and got away from the cop but you know what thats why they make fucking radios...try and out run one...and 3rd about giving me a break im not really sure what would have happened but he seemed to be one of the fucking idiot ass hole's like you are so please if you dont have anything SMART to say DONT SAY NOTHING AT ALL

just go to court, chances are he wont have the evidence ( I believe its a print out of the speed or something like that) and if you are polite and respectful they might not eliminate the ticket, but they will usually reduce it, usually to about half the fine. I cant speak from experience as ive never gotten a ticket but many of my buddies with f-bodys, mustangs, etc have and they always challenge it no matter what. Hopefully the guy wont show and you will get off, but either way its worth a shot. Fight the Power haha!

Good luck man. Just ask for and take defensive driving....You pay court costs which are usually around 50-75 then the defensive driving fee, here thats 25. :chug:
