Default HELP... How to run 14-16psi on D1SC???

Hey ya'll...

I just installed a FMIC with a D1SC @ 9.5psi @6800rpms... I have a 8rib setup currently and was wondering how can i run atleast 14-15psi w/o the belt slipping? What would i need to do? I hate go run a cog setup, but if all else doesnt work thats what i'll have to do... If i stay away from a cog setup, what would i have to do? Would a spring loaded valve tensioner work? Any and all help would be appreciated ya'll...

well for a good tensioner go with sdce they used to be a sponser here but not any more. everyone with that boost level on a procharger uses it.

SDCE Setup and Belt Alignment.

Proper belt alignment is just as important as the SDCE kit.

I am currently at 17 psi.

Im not to sure what crank size im running... I know when i put this w2w blower motor in the crank was swapped out and I put a larger blower pulley on, but i dont have the car with me so im not to sure? I was just curious to what do i need to do to run 14+psi and not have the belt slip. I guess i need to call SDCE up. Ya'll running a 8rib setup or 12 rib? Also, do you know what psi level would be safe enough to run at the track because i heard if i push the blower to hard, i possibly could break it? what PSI would be the safest level? thanks to any and all help. Ya'll are awesome

make sure the intake hat is not restricting the flow, theres a guy on here gained 5lbs by taking his intake system off, he later build a large intake pipe with filter that sits under the car.
I gained 5lbs and 100rwh by running open mouth blower on my lt1

14 psi is about the limit to the success we have had in keeping belt slippage to a minimum with the eight rib system. I agree with everyone else, go with the SDCE assembly. Bob

SDCE is the way to do it. I sometimes see 11psi on a cool night (rev limiter set at 6200).

LilRedZ:

Your talking about the hat that's attached to the blower correct? I heard something about that too... However, if i do this for track purposes only will my tune be off because more air will flow into the intake? Aren't you worried about debris getting into the turbines? w2w mentioned something about custom fabricating a air filter on the blower, so im guessing i should do that next along with the SDCE tensioner.

What exhaust system are you all running with 14+psi?

Thanks guys,

Jayson
