Default Removing paint from the intake

I just purchased a complete motor, and the LS6 intake is painted. It looks like it is primered as well. Anyone know how to safely remove paint and primer from the intake? I don't want to just paint over it, unless I know for sure the original paint is gonna stick. I tried pressure washing it (intake off, of course) and Got about a 1/4 of the paint off, but none of the primer. Someone mentioned using Easy Off oven cleaner, but I don't know how that'll affect the nylon intake....Any suggestions? Am I gonna have to sand the whole thing by hand? Any help is appreciated!
