Default 370ci or 408ci Iron...cant decide

I am torn between the two and with a procharged application is it worth it to spend the extra money for the 408? I plan on running 10-12psi so I am not sure what I will benefit from the bigger displacement. What would the power difference be...I dont even know what to expect from this setup honestly. What do you guys think?

The two engines would both be great with a little boost!
Normally on a street type engine you should see 1.75hp per ci or more with a small blower.
So the question is for your wallet. Is the cost of the aftermarket crank worth the extra 66.5 hp? With the aftermarket crank comes more strength, that is added value to me over the ci increase.
Good luck with your build!

I would spend the money on the best pistons, rings and lightest rods you can afford.
So 370 top of line, can rev higher without any 4.00 stroke ill effects.

I'm debating the same thing (except using the F-1). Most of our sponsors that I emailed recommended the 370, so that's what I'm leaning towards. Also alot depends on what your goals are. The stock crank has been proven to handle 800-900hp.

If I was staying n/a, then it would definitely be 408. But, with the extra $ of forced induction, I'm trying to save a few hundred bucks here and there.

from my understanding, you will make more boost at higher RPMs, and you will make more power at higher RPMs with the smaller stroke. That may be wrong, but i think thats how it works.

why not consider an aluminum engine? don't people run high boost on them anyways?

I say get the aluminum 347 save weight, and use boost to make up the difference in power.
