new nitrous numbers on stock motor and tune
491 rwhp 570 rwtq this was done on a stock tune and stock motor and 93 oct pump gas. only mods to the car are headers, mid pipe, cat back and a zip tie mod.
N/A numbers were 325 rwhp and 360 rwtq. i think these motors will handle more than given credit for.
i did this same research on a older style small block. it was a bone stock 91 model 2 bolt block with old style junk double hump heads. long story short i started with a cheater system that went to 250 hp and maxed it rather quickly then upgraded to a big shot that went to 400 hp. maxed it out to. never got to dyno it but it was very impressive and fun as hell to drive. plus it lasted about 3 very hard years at 3 to 4 bottles a weekend before i got stupid and did a burn out with the system armed, bump the rev. limiter and blew #2 piston. this motor was guestimated at roughly 750 hp on the bottle with pump gas.
and everything was done on 93 octane pump gas.
just noting here that a motor with a properly tuned system and some safe guards will handle more than given credit for. also people like me that go to the extreme should not expect these motors to last as long as one N/A, they DONT, but they can be alot of fun.

I started spraying at 50k miles and i now have 107k miles on the clock on a stock motor with a cam, springs, pushrods and headers.
Ive melted 7 sets of plugs over the years on shots ranging from 150-350 .
Last night i ran a 100/150 2 stage setup and the car just simply loves it .
The LS1 IS tougher than ppl think it is .
Everyone in the Fuel **** car club has seen what ive put my motor through over the years and they say my motor was hand built by God himself ,, hahaha
This pic is from 3 weeks ago on a 300 rwhp 2 stage shot , but i hit the rev limiter racing a gt40 .
I pulled the guy so hard in 2nd before hitting the limiter he wont race me again
Compression the next morning was 175-180 across the board

ive been running the 150 wet and have went through plenty of bottles, dyno 465 at only 900 PSI so there is more HP there since I only spray it at 1050 now. My stock internals seem to be just fine as so are my tr6's, every time I pull them they look great. These motors can take more than most people think, especially as long as its all set up right.

I like to here all of you are having good luck on stock motors. I'll be installing a system on my car soon (ho ho ho), and plan on using 150 jets right out the box. In time I plan to build a forged 408 and bump it up. Oh yeah, did I mention replacing stock rearend somewhere inbetween. lol I can't wait.
