The ss4000 has an str of 2.6 and the pt4000 has an str of 1.6 I believe. They should 60' closely but the pt4000 should produce a slightly better et. I guess the way it works is a higher str will hit harder because of the higher tq multiplication but will lose the multiplied power quicker. With the lower str the converter holds the multiplied tq for a longer amount of time. I'm not sure if that makes sence, but thats how I understand it.
The reason alot of people go with the ss series (including myself) is because they don't drive as loose on the street compared to other converters with the same stall. The pt series is a better choice for drag racing.
