you should run 11's easy. but if you want to hook hard forget about the m/t radials try www.intercotire.com look at the m&h racemaster cheeter slick. i have got a best of a 1.34 60 foot on a m6 car.

I would think I would be in the high 11s.I am going to buy some good drag radials but I can not decide which ones.I would like to find the best tire for track that is street legal so I can drive on them to the track.I dont care how fast they will wear down but I want something that is safe on the street.

Sounds like 11's are in the bag if the car isn't bogged down w/a bunch of extra weight AND you can hook.

Fast on the track and safe on the street is an oxymoron. You WILL compromise "street manners" running a good track tire. You WILL compromise track times w/a "street" tire.

A Nitto would be your best of both worlds if you're not serious about track times. The MT drag radial is a GREAT track tire and not "too" bad on the street(wet pavement).

Just so happens I know where you can get a pair of MT radials if you're interested...

Good luck!

How much of a differance is there with the Nitto and BFG and MT drag radials and what size tires are you running. Will I tell a noticable differance between the Nitto drag tire and my street tire in the 17 inch factory size ?

the nitto is a good street tire, hooks way better then stock. the nitto dont hook at the track that goods the bfg will out hook the nitto. the m/t radial will out hook both, but will not last long when driving on the street. it's best to have two sets of rear tires, street tires and track/street race tires. i have nittos for my street tire and m&h racemaster for track/street racing tire.

looks like the car should go well into the 11's... i'd have a 4.10 in it if it was my choice, but it's not. get the car weighed, and run it. let us know your times, and raceweight.

I know 4.10s in the rear would give me a better start out of the hole but my gas milage would suck big time then.I will probaly go with the MT drag radial or BFG drag for the street in a 275 40 17 to match the front size.I do have an extra set of rear wheels in the stock size 17x9 I beleive.Mike C What kind of M&H tires do you have that are street legal ?
