Default how long should i wait before waxing?

Hi, I should know this being a detailer by trade, but I don't so I am coming to you guys for a little help.

My Trans Am was hit recently and as a result of the accident, the most of the car has been repainted because it got sprayed with battery acid. What I am looking to know is, how long should I wait before I begin the Zaino process to it all over again.

Yeah, I agree. A month. That way the paint has time to cure.

I've heard different and that it depends where you live in how long the paint takes to cure. 30-90 days

Because it didn't matter to them how long you had to wait. All that mattered to them is that you waited more than long enough to relieve them of being held responsible in any way shape or form. 6 months is excessive.

I had my bumper repainted after being in a wreck last year and my body shop told me to wait a month. I did and never had a problem with it. The paint still looks great!

Depends on the type of paint used. Could be a month or up to 6 months.

if you are using zaino, email them and ake them. i had the same question after my car was repainted after it got hail damage and i THINK, but could be wrong, that you do not have to wait to use zaino. you might want to double check that.

Zaino is safe to use right away, but it's always best to follow your painter's advise in order to keep the warranty.

Wow, so many responses so quickly, thank you everone!

I think i'm going to go with the 30 days just to be safe because it is going to pretty much just sit in my garage and not really move till march when the weather's nice again (New England weather sucks ). So I should end up with a very clean and shiny garage occupant .

Plus there's still the girl's Camaro to play with for another couple weeks anyways
