Does Flowmaster=Bad???
I had B&B tri-flow on before, i got a flowmaster muffler because it was cheap, and it sounds better and louder than the B&B i had before. When i look around the forums everybody bashes flowmaster. Is it really that bad compared to other regular Mufflers (ex: B&B).

Some flowmasters are designed for sound nad not flow. Therefore, they have multiple baffles in the muffler that eliminates the raspy and upper end exhaust notes leaving a deep rumble. Good sound yes, very much so. But bad flow which means less horsepower.

I'd like to see more proof as well. I was just at the dyno, and gained only 7 hp opening a single 3" cutout right before the rear axle vs going through my flowmaster. Mods in sig.

just my speculation. based on listed mods.
not to say its impossable, just a little hard to swallow.
on top of those mods ive also sealed the air box to hood. i dont think those gains would be listed though, i wasnt dynoing in a wind tunnel :p

Regardless of what most people tell you man, it still flows better than stock. Just think of it like that, sure there are better mufflers out there, but it's still a worthwhile upgrade from stock.

But would you trade a B&B for a flowmaster? A B&B costs twice as much doesnt it?

I feel a bit cheated. I am having my first Dyno Run on Saturday at Colvins in Austin Texas. I'm gonna be disappointed for sure. Stock the WS6 supposedly has 340 ft-lbs, and 320hp, with all the mods in the sig. Does this mean in reality i'll have mayne what my owner's manual say's I should have stock?
I don't have my sights set too high, but I am hoping for something around 350ish. I mean what the hell is the purpose for spending hours and hours and dolla after dolla on mods just to get back to what the car is rated from the factory with?......Getting pretty sick of it.
