Black Halos on sunset orange Z28? Need Advise!
I have a sunset orange Z28 with no appearance modds what so ever, and I was looking into some black halos for front lights. I think black would look good because every z badge on the car is black, would this draw too much attention to the lights, or would it look pretty good. Also I've read threads that say they look cheap and don't match the seams of the car, is this true. I found some on ebay for buy it now for 111.00$, which is the cheapest I've found yet. Any Advise, Thanks.

some people like them some people dont, they follow the lines of the car fine. its not like they look stupid they look badass, and the fitment is fine all you have to do is adjust them not to hard just turn some screws and thats it. also wiring the halo is simple two wires from each housing ground and positive easy install and well worth it. just look at my car and you can determine weather you want them or not.

with these lights your gonna have to decide whether you want performance or looks
mine were put on for performance but have gaps between them and the body
my friends were put on for looks and fit snug to the bodlines but they shined like 5 to 10 feet in front of the car...very poor visibility
i had them on a bright red car ...looked good...i personally think they would look great on SOM

Back ontopic-
273sunsetz: I say get the black halos but smoke your turn signals too. I imagine black halos alone might look like your car was punched in the face and ended up with black eyes.

The gaps are at least in part, a by product of mass production variation complicated by varying levels of skill by those installing them. My factories have a little gap as they are, I'm just too lazy to fix it.
Halos are fine. If you insist on perfect mounting, then you should also be able to take the time to adjust the mounting and fitment.
You can't really expect them to fit every car perfectly. There are just too many sources of variation here for one rule to apply to all. The bumper cover has a lot of variation in it. It can sized differently, and on top of that it can be bolted up all over the place. It could be a knock-off part. Could be mounted to repaired front mounts. The brackets could be bent.
I know it's not resonable to some for a replacement part to require such tweaking, but in the case of headlights on our cars, it's just a fact of life. Those huge rubber trim seals around the lamps aren't there just for sealing.

How is the visibility of the halos compared with the stock ones. Are they just as good, or better than the stock ones at night, and where can I find smoked turn signals. It seems like the majority of people that have them like them when they take the time to install them correctly, and without gaps. The only reason I was even considering them was because I thought they looked good. I havn't completly made up my mind yet, I might just clean up my stock ones and put smoked corners on them, that also looks pretty good. I'm not sure if I'm ready for this drastic of a change, the front end will look diffrent, but then again, no one around here has them and it would be diffrent. I'm going to do some more research/google, and try and find a SOM camaro with Halos, mabie I'll get lucky.
