I can take pictures of parts too, point is????

How about measuring the units for us, that would be more useful. I was told that the GT57/88 is 12" x 12" x 12".

I'd like the measurements of a PTE88 too.

Alot of the customers that asked, already own the 76GTS, and wanted a visual difference of the turbos. I can measure the GT42 out and see the difference.

The GT45 is below

i take it the little one is the 76 right? so looking at power levels the 42 and the 76 make comparable power and the 45 and a t88 are comarable

Going by looks you could say that, but the truth is the GT45 makes less power in stock form then the 76GTS and GT42-76. Reason being is its only a 69mm unit. The GT45-76 we build will make around the same power as the GT42-76. And yes the 76GTS is the small one.

For those wondering, this is in millimeters:

1 millimeter = 0.0393700787 inch ...so the 257mm across the width is roughly 10.12 inches.

The GT42 will flow more do to the size of the compressor cover and turbine then the 76. Same difference why a PT88 and a GT47 are alot different in rating, but wheels are almost identical. The MP-GT45 has the advantage of running a larger turbine wheel then the 42 and 76. Which means more flow before turbine stalling. The MP GT45 turbine wheel as far as I can tell is a derivative of a BG wheel. They flow tons, and have big trims, but are a little laggy for small cube motors. It will definitely outflow the S-trim wheel from Garrett and work Awesome on SBC's, SBF's and LS1's. They just need a boost on the compressor side, which we have taken care of with the 74 and 76mm versions.

Which of the 3 would you recommend for a stock LS1 that wants room to grow for when the motor gets forged?

Kyle their has been a custom GT42/MPGT45 with the 80 made . PITA, but it will smoke the standard GT42 config. Problem is price and parts are hard to justify. But we are working on a solution.

GT42-70 is the best to start out with. You can then go to a 72,74,76,78,80 or possibly 82.

does anyone know if precision make a larger compressor cover for their pt88? i know of a shop that machined and put a detroit diesel garrett tv85 compressor cover and backing on a pt88 and claims of 150 hp increase in max hp over stock just because of the cover...

PTE does not, but the TV stuff will work with the correct backing plate.

How much to the rear wheels is a GT42-70 capable of making without running it inefficiently? Wont a larger turbo be running more efficient at the same power level with lower air temps, at the sacrifice of a little more lag? It seems that the 74 or 76 would work just fine with a stock LS1 and leave more room to grow.

hehe, sorry, but it doesn't. The compressor cover is smaller then the 76GTS. The R-trim wheel though flows more then a S-trim wheel even though its smaller, but its also laggier due to the trim being 100. Their is alot more to this then meets the eye.
