Default New wheel

well,
I had my B-day, and low and behold, this is what i got. I asked for it thinking "no way someone would actually pay the $$$ for this thing".....I am in shock, but very happy, and can't wait to put it on this summer! what do you guys think?!

BTW-the Fast and furious NNNNOOOOSSSS buttons will be actually usedd for my harlan 2-step, and eventually a SJM line-lock.

Don't you hate it when you post something and no-one replies?

Anyway the wheel looks good, but you do not want air bags anymore? Is it mainly a "race" car?

The inside of the car may not look as "full" as it used to with a smaller wheel.
I dunno.....maybe someone else will chime in.

I think it may look a little out of place, but at least you have the functions for a purpose other than looks like a ricer would have.

-no thanks on the selling of the nittos.
-actually, Sparco products are about the most high quality interior components you can get. I am by no means a "ricer", and most/all ricers could never afford authentic sparco stuff. I'll probably go with sparco seats as well(when money permits).

The main use for the wheel is because it'll make it easier for me to get in and out of the car with a cage in it. I am not installing swing out bars, so i'll want all the extra room i can get.

As for airbags-I figure 5 point harnesses and a 8 point cage are more than sufficient to what a air bag could do for me.

Thanks for the comments guys!

I personally like the look of that wheel and think it will open up the interior of the car a little more.

I've seen your car in person though, so I know that the only thing you have inside is your seat when you race. So it makes a little more sense to me.

But I definitely like the wheel and at least the "ricer buttons" will be used for something. I really like how the bottom is flat. That's the same kindof wheel that BAIN is looking for.

Did Amanda get it for you?

I'm sure if you search hard enough you'll find a cool round Chevy emblem thingy to cover the Sparco name.

Thanks man,
that's the exact thought i had also. I just wish they didn't cost so much! I guess that's the price you pay to be a little different, while still using quality parts

For those that arnt to sure about the smaller wheel in the car. I love mine!!

I like your wheel to I would just change the color of the buttons personally, unless you have other yellow stuff in the interior that it will flow with. I wish I had more good reachable buttons as well.

yep, i wanted the red buttons, but also needed the flat bottom of the wheel to help with getting in and out of the cage. So, like you said, i am going to try to change out the yellow buttons for some red ones. Hopefully that won't be too much of a PITA

Thanks for the pic!
