Dallas or San Antonio?

Dallas or San Antonio?
Hey guys, my home here in Vegas is for sale and I have been looking at moving to Dallas. Last night I started eyeing San Antonio and now I cant decide. I dont want to start a huge pissing match between people in San Antonio and Dallas but just curious if there some of you who have lived in both and what your likes and dislikes were. And with any city there are some areas you want to stay away from, what are these areas for both? Also, another big factor, car culture. Gotta have cool cars! If there are any realtors in the house I'm actually looking to buy an inexpensive house to turn around and put up for rent and then purchase one for myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, James.

I am about to make the complete opposite move....San Antonio to Las Vegas. I like San Antonio a lot. It's big enough to have most of the big city amenities but small enough to feel like a small town. SA has an OK night life but Austin is only 1.5hrs away. San Antonio Raceway is a nice 1/4mile track and it's cheap. My family and I plan on coming back after my assignment in Vegas is up. Maybe we can help each other out with info on both areas...I don't know jack about Vegas except that houses there are insanely expensive.

Yeah, thats one reason why I'm getting out, salaraies are not even close to where they need to be for housing prices. I was lucky to pick up my house before the boom otherwise I'd be living in a shack. lol I have a good amount of equity in the house but I'm kinda stuck there, cant afford to upgrade. Plus I've been here almost 24 years, its time to go.
