i can get one for 1000, for everything. what power can i expect from 4.5, 6 and a custom 8 pound pullies. any norm problems from them. i dont know much about forced induction, so any feed back would be great.

powerdyne kits are terrible.
they are just simply to small for our motors.
but it really boils down to your power needs, for 1000 bucks I'd pick it up, hell you could probably resell it for more than that.

I had one on my LT1 SS
the internal drive belt inside the powerdyne broke 3 times within a few months, i had to send it back to powerdyne a few times , and the customer service sucks,
There was a guy named Sam working there back then,
They finaly sent me a brand new unit, and i never used it , i sold it to a guy named Ben, he installed it and only ran 4.5-5 PSI of boost with it on his TA,
He had NO problems with it at all,
I installed a smaller custome pullie and made 9 PS1 on the stock motor, MY car ran great and was very fast .

You made 9psi with a powerdyne?
that's impressive for such a small head unit

I had one on my 94 Z. Every time it rainded it sucked up so much water it killed the engine. After about 10 times of this the bearings in the head unit needed replaced. It ran good though. I have a buddy who's had one on his LT1 for abuot 2 years also. Trouble free. We both ran 6lbs

I ran 11.4@124mph 1.80 sixty with one at 6# boost and stock internal.
435RWHP and 433RWTQ.
Headers, catback, powerdyne, stock LS1 intake, stock rear (3.73 gears)
I made a custom air intake setup for it and also a custom fan setup as well. STOCK tuning with a few tricks (IAT resistor, etc).
Cheers,
Chris

I remember a ls1 Camaro at english town NJ with a Powerdyne on it making 6PSI and was running low to mid 11's,
On a stock motor with a FMU and a fuel return system back to the tank.
Is this you Chrispy?
Very nice #'s and the car ran great , looked like no problems with his set up, and car was quite, could not hear the supercharger.

Yes i was running a smaller pully, one pully was just a little bit smaller about 2 tenths of a inch smaller , this pully on a LT1 will give you only 1 pound of boost more,
Then i went with a pully that was about a 4 tenths smaller this gave me about 9 PSI and made really good power car puled hard , but the belt inside the charger kept ripping apart,
I figured by now powerdyne would have a much stronger supercharger , and good for 15 PSI
I guess not
