Default How do I get HPtuners to work for 69 Camaro

Hey guys I hope you can help me out there. I just got a 69 camaro and will be doing a 408 LS1 swap in the car. I got the LS1 pcm wiring harness from painless. Now what do i do about a computer and how do I get my hptuners to work with it? Currently my hptuners is for a 99 f-body. Any help will be greatly appreciated-thanks!

Find yourself a PCM and go to the dealership and have them flash a 99 program on it and your set.

If it were only that easy.... IIRC, the Painless harness is set up for '98 PCMs. (That's why it doesn't have a very bog following around here.) You're going to have to find a '98 PCM and then upgrade your HPTuners to add support for '98s. Or if you're not too far into the project you can get another harness for the later PCMs. I used a 2000 F-body harness and PCM and had it modified by Speartech. (I have since updated the computer to a 2002 program but that's another subject altogether.)
