Default which LQ9 heads for blown 408?

I'm planning on purchasing a 408 for my truck. 9.5:1cr. I'm using a whipple supercharger spinning at 16000rpm(max). I'm only planning on putting down about 550rwhp cause I don't think the whipple will push more than that. Help me decide which 6.0L heads to use.

Patriot or WCCH or other?

I'd check out AFR and see what they can do for you.

you just about can't buy better heads than that.

I bought a set of used 6L heads (~100 miles) off Ebay for $325 & had them rewoked for $1200 (bigger valves, ported, cumbustion chamber polished). Many "experts" say if you aren't going crazy you don't need expensive heads for boosted cars. Just another idea....

That's my theory as well. I've seen many cars with 750-800+rwhp running stock heads. I'm running stock 6.0s on my new build.

ET Performance heads are good quality and priced pretty good. Give Cary a call and see what he can do for you.

the wcch lq9 heads are $1300 and Patriot are around the same. I don't wanna spend more than that. I heard ET were great, but, much more money than that.
