The car already has headers, exhaust, cai, lid, strut tower brace, subframe connectors and lca's. its a A4, and I dont think i want to go the stall route. I was thinking of maybe bmr front and rear sway bars, panhard, and torque arm, I can get them all new for a good price, I'm just not sure what to buy!

Well, I had purchased a 3800 stall before and sold it before I ever installed it and purchased the headers instead. I want to keep the car mostly bolt ons since its a 35th SS, and I really like the way the throttle response is now. I have thought about upgrading to 3.73's from the 3.23's I have now.
I was thinking of getting this too....Thunder Racing Gear Package

I have a fuddle 3000 in my 2.73 geared Z and I have zero regrets. It went in no problem. No having to adjust shift points, no having to re-calibrate the speedo, just start it and drive. I lost some mpg with it but thats the drivers fault mostly. I can't seem to keep my foot off of the gas. Seriously. driving a car with a stall feels like being in a slingshot. It's too fun!
Drivability? I would not go back to a stock stall for anything. Do a search on the automatic tranny section and read up!

you could port your throttle body, and a good torque arm. don't worry about sway bars, the stockers are ok for now at your power level, unless you like to autocross. A stall would still be the best way to go, but you don't have to.

I gotta vote for stall too. A 3000 stall will be so tight and streetable you won't even know it's there. That is until you go full throttle and see your rpm's jump straight to 3000 while snapping your head back. I was skeptical about stalls myself at first.
Now my only regret was waiting 2 years to buy one. WOW is this car so much more fun to drive. And that 35 mph dead spot is a distant memory
Gears will make a small difference that you will notice (decent SOTP feel and about .2 faster in the quarter mile). But a stall will make a huge difference that will make you smile from ear to ear (huge SOTP feel and .5 faster in the quarter mile).

If I were to go the stall route, say a 2800 or 3000, would I need to get a tranny cooler? I don't want any other guages in the interior other than stock, so if i do have to do the tranny cooler, do i have to have a guage?

From what i've learned from this forum, anything under a 3000 stall is a waste of time and money. I have a 3000 stall with a 2.0 str in my 2.73 geared z-28. As I stated above the slip is barely noticeable. When in drive it creeps forward just like with the stock verter. Same thing in reverse. It takes just a bit more throttle to get it moving up to speed in traffic. At about 38 mph it locks up just like it did when stock, so I still get over 25 mpg on the highway. But the fun part is when you want to get it on. Before my converter I could just about floor the throttle before the tires would break loose. Now I have to stab it only half way down to launch and the tires will still spin a bit. Only after I get moving out of the hole can I continue to press the pedal to wot.
I would get a cooler too. I would say that to anyone who drives an automatic transmission whether they have a high stall converter or not. Some have said that with a 2800 verter and under, you don't really need a cooler though. Note: If your thinking of a vigilante its actual stall is more like 3200. A gauge? Lot of people don't run them but again I like them. Its just a little more insurance.
To sum it up if you have a 2.73 geared car a 3000 stall is great. If your car has 3.23 gears you would probably be ok with a stall up to around 3500. There are a lot of guys here with a lot more experience with stalls then I do. Lets hope they respond as well.
Also, I would contact John at fuddle racing. He helped me and he would be glad to offer his advise to you.

I know nothing about auto cars, but I always, always here on here to get a converter first if you have an A4. I know these guys are talking about stalls, and it sounds like good advice. I wouldn't know.
But, with your mods, if you already had a "stallverter" or whatever, I would say gears.
But, since you are a 35th'er, why not get that cool front grille from SLP? The red one with stripes?
