How would i beef up my t56 tranny so it can hold up to 550 H.P. I broke my tranny on my 2001 Chevy Camaro SS. i need rebuilt, but before i rebuilt i need it some help on how to make alot more stronger what upgrades would i need to satify my goods without stressing it (breaking it) how much would it run to fixs it w/ upgrades whats a dicent price. thank you if you can help out... im still trying to keep racing.

Broke as in bad syncros/ slider keys or broke as in output shaft or tail shaft? Big difference. You can get it rebuilt at D&D with all their goodies including a viper output shaft for ~$1500. That will hold just about anything you throw at it.

my t56 hold 600hp for two years of pain. 1.3 60 foots 10.1 in the 1/4 and it keeps going. i got all the parts from d&d and built it up. also...make sure you get the stamped steel keys,i broke keys every other week(no ****)they would'nt hold. once i got the steel ones they NEVER broke again. now...if i can keep a clutch i'de be doing great. goodluck to ya bro.
