Thumbs up HRP last night- I finally got my 10 SEC pass

I'll I've ever wanted out of this car was a sub 11.00 pass. I've spent duckets (as the rest of you have) to try and get to this point. My last time to Houston Raceway Park I was only able to make one pass (due to lack of a roll cage) where my car went 11.12@129.56 with a 1.86 60ft- with the stock converter & tranny. Since then I have added a 2800 Vigalante stall, a stage 4 tranny from Rodney, ECS alky injection and a fresh tune from Jayson at Motorsport Technologies.

Last night the air was good- about 58 degrees. I was the first car down the track in the right lane.....my brother in his E55 AMG in the left. I was going to practice my 1/8 mile runs before making my one and only "full pass." This was my first time to the track with the converter and I wasn't sure where to launch from. Looks like I should have kept my foot into it on this one. I literally coasted after the 1.8 mile cone and hit the brakes torwards the end and still ran a 11.37. Check out my 60ft time I feel confident that this would have been a 10.7x pass.

Pass #2- Finally got my 10 sec pass- As you can tell from the 60ft time I spun quite a bit through first.

My final pass- Again, my 60ft time got worse but the ET got a little better. After spinning on pass #2, I was a little gun shy with the launch.

My car is finally just the way I've always wanted it- a fine azz 10 sec street car that's 100% reliable. I'd drive her to California tomorrow. And yes, the car is still for sale.

Thanks to Sean (R6_C5_ML430) for meeting me out there and filming all the runs. Were going to get them hosted and then I'll post them on here. I'm not a huge Benz fan, but my brothers E55 went 11.84@117 last night....completely stock. I drove the car for the second time in my life and went 11.91@118. Those cars are incredible......and it was nice to be drag racing someone elses ride :yesnod:

Congrats on the 10s! When I raced your brothers E55, I got a nice jump on him but that thing trucked on past me at about 1000'. I ran a 12.6 to his 11.X. Damn those cars are sweet!

why are you selling the Vette? Starting something new?

Hi Tony- yeah, I agree with you....that E is unreal- 11.84 stock??? He's going to get a pulley for it in the next couple of weeks- supposed to be worth 50rwhp

Anyway, the wife and I are talkin about having a child, I'm considering the new C6 Z06 and I've also had the itch for another Hayabusa. The main reason being the possibility of having a rug rat. We'll see.....
