What can i expect with these heads

Default What can i expect with these heads

They are a Stage 3 ls6 head, milled .030 and flow at 314.4 CCFM with a 3.910" bore. 254 cc int runner and 62.5 chamber.

Rest of my mods are in the sig.

yeap acorrding to this flow sheet i have with it. got them for a hell of a deal, so i said screw it, i'll take them even though they are overkill for a stock engine

Who did the porting on the heads?
Do you have headers, Exhaust?

ok i've got Mac-Mid lengths also ready to go in, plus new HS 1.7 roller rocker arms, new plus and wires also. Not sure if i want to stay with the off road pipe or get one with some cats. SLP LM exhaust at the moment also.

Ok, i would say about 400-420 MAX
Intrested to see what it make with those monster intake runners. They seem to big for a mild cammed 346.

yea that's true but i got the heads for a really good deal so i said what the heck, plus when i do upgrade engines, won't need the heads

If you run those HS rockers, you better have some excellent valve springs. Lots of people getting pre-mature valve float with them. I would recommend the stock rockers myself. It's what I run.

It was reported to me by the original customer that those heads made over 465rwhp on a stock LS6 bottom end with a G5-X3 cam. As I recall, he didn't have an electric water pump installed yet either. The car was dynoed at LAPD in Chatsworth.
You have plenty of room to grow your engine around those heads.

The heads came with PP new dual springs. Would those work?

Probably not good enough unless you shim them to within .050" of coil bind.

Stick with the stockers. The aftermarket rockers don't increase power and have shown to be a big pain in the ***. Stockers work great. I use them on my 422ci with no issues. Are those a 2.08 1.60 valve combo? How much power you make will come down to total parts combination and the tune. If your doing macs why not just use a full long tube header. Either way it is illegal in cali.

yea i know that now, but i bought the macs over two years ago. Tried to get rid of them but no takers, so i'm stuck with them
