Default FI or heads/cam/intake?

If you had a $5000 Total budget which route would you go? I want to get as close to 500 RWHP as I can and have SOMEWHAT civilized street manners. I have a NX Wet Kit but am tired of the bottle, want the same power all the time with no refills needed. I already have:

99 Z28
Long Tube headers with off road Y
3500 SSF Stall
PCM has been altered, removed EGR/AIR, Rev Limiter raised to 6800. Speed limiter removed completely (Its a Vert and yes they come with speed limiters)
Stock rear with 2.73 gears.

So my choices so far are:
ATI P1SC Complete kit with programmer and injectors and be done.

or

AFR 205cc Heads, TR224 (or similar cam) and ls6 or Fast Intake and a full dyno tune.

Suggestions?

The blower I think would be your best bet. But might be a bit more than $5k. And go with the tuner kit.

I just tuned my friend's stock A4 Camaro with a P1. Put out 450 rwhp. And totally streetable.

To get close to 500 with heads and cam. That thing won't be fun on the street.

The blower I bought (a P-1SC) put 471 to the wheels on a header & intake car. Most head/cam cars I see are under 450....this is in Seattle hp #s. The s/c route will give you better gas mileage, but the h/c route might be more dependable, and should cost less.

Just curious as to why the tuner kit? Wont I need the injectors and programmer? Or should I shop around and piece together a set up?

Its usually cheaper to shop around and piece together a kit.

if shop and find some deals, you might be able to do it all, provided you do all the installation

The installation is not a problem, I will do all that myself. Just curious as to exactly what "pieces" I will need to purchase for a complete install.

So should I get the D1SC tuner kit or the P1SC tuner kit? I do not have any plans to forge the bottom end in the near future. Is there a big difference in performance between the two of them?

d1sc will allow you to have more potential down the road. I think its only like 1300 more or so, but its well worth it once you get addicted
