Default Help, can't Get The Ws6 To Run!

I'm a new F body owner. I bought a wrecked 00 TA. Long story short I have the engine, wiring harnesses etc. back in, but I cannot get it to crank over. I really want to here what my pacesetter long tubes sound like! I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

If the pcm has been out or its a different pcm/harness all together I'd put my money on VATS(vehicle anti theft device). Is the security light flashing when you try to crank it? If so you'll need a tech 2 or a local tuner to relink the PCM with the cars BCM.

we need a *tad* (ok a lot) more info ....

M6 or A4?
When you say it won't crank over, is the starting not engaging at all?
If M6 is the clutch switch hooked up?
If A4 is the neutral safety switch hooked up?
can you manually jump the starter? If so, then it's likely one of the above two, if not likely a bad starter

Once it cranks, if you don't get fuel then it's likely VATS related

So many possibilities... you need to provide more info before much help can be given

So true, but after years of reading threads lacking important information I’ve began to understand and decipher problems based on extremely limited info. or maybe not.

Okay, let me help you out. I did not want to load up with a ton of info to start. It has a t56 in it. The engine, wiring harness under the hood and everything else under the hood is original to the car(exept headers). The wiring harness inside the car has been replace along with the dash. I used my instrument cluster(need to show that original 12,414 miles) and also kept my steering column.

When I turn the key instrument cluster comes on,the red light on the dash blinks, when I turn it to the start positon I get nothing. I do not have any voltage going to the lead on the solenoid. The switch on the clutch is hooked up,bench tested the starter and the bedix engages.

You lost me a bit about the tech 2. Hopefully this helps.

have you checked all your fuses?
you sure the battery is good?
are you sure the clutch switch works?

I'm sure you've checked all this, but it helps to get the obvious out of the way first.

Did you reconnect the wire that reads the key? If you changed the dash you had to disconnect this wire. It runs underneath the steering collumn along the same path that the airbag wire runs.

Also, did you connect the ground and purple wire to the starter?

Did you reinstall the same BCM that originally came with the car?

Break it down into sections and troubleshoot it one step at a time.

Yes, when I put the steering column back in I connected every plug and wire. All 3 wires are connected to the starter. Tonight I put the BCM in that was original to the car. Now the Red light on the dash does not blink when I try to start it. I still do not get any power to the solenoid. I also checked all of the fuses. I even thru the charger on engine start in case I was low on voltage. This is driving me nuts!

He says the car beeps when the door locks are activated, but the driver side door is gutted. The beep does not sound like a normal car lock activating (as your walking away). It almost sounds as if it knows theres a piece of the puzzle missing. Would this have anything to do with no juice at the starter?
