Textralia vs Mcleod twin disk
Ok, what clutch would you guys prefer for daily driving? I am looking at a used Mcleod twin disk for $850 with 1k miles, aluminum flywheel and new slave cylinder. I hear nothing but good things about the textralia, but it is 1150 for the aluminum flywheel one. Should I spend the extra money and go with the textralia, or go with the mcleod? My car is stock right now since I just bought it a week ago. I am planning on heads/cam and 150 shot in the not too distant future. Thanks.

I am getting ready to try the twin disk myself, need to button things up still. If I had to do it again, who knows till I try this one. I do have a friend going high 9's on his Twin...

I just had the Mcleod installed and so far it grabs hard. Its pretty streetable, but I'd hate to use this clutch in stop and go freeway traffic. I have lots of pedal pressure. But the grip is unbeleivable...........so far!!! I've only had it for a day!

I've had the Mcleod twin disc clutch kit on for around a month now and I agree it grabs HARD! Tons of pedal pressure and I do daily drive it in traffic...ouch! This clutch kit is awesome. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a high performance clutch.

I've had the mcleod in for about a month now, it grabs super hard but if your at lower rpm's its still useable in stop and go, if you want to rev it up and dump it, it WILL grab, I get some chatter if I try and rev a little and slowly let it out, its iether in or out, unless you do the low rpm trick, w/ the adjustable master I've got it releaseing right near the top, so quick shifting is improved as well...

I have the McLeod twin like it, the release is quick+ holds up well to street & slicks @ the track.
Is the tex adjustable in any fasion at the floater or pressure plate?
I like the adjustability of the floater in the McLeod.

I need one to hold 800rwhp. I still dont know which one to buy. I would like to hear from more people with the textralia making alot of power and launching hard on slicks.

I would also like to know how much power textralia claims it can handle. If it explodes are they going to replace it? I dont want to spend over a grand on a clutch to have it break and waste my time and money.

Does your clutch engage at the top of the pedal? Mine does and its annoying. I took it to a guy who has installed tons of them. The clutch grabs hard and engages fine, he said they are suposed to be kinda high, and that I will get used to it.
Is your clutch pedal egagement high?

textrailia here...not makin as much power as Vince...yet...but i do put down quite a bit 550+hp and 600+wtq and i launch on dr's. have over 35 track passes on the spray and countless times on the street. i love it...worth every penny i spent on it till this point. the reason i like it is b/c even though it holds the power, it feels like a stock clutch. pedal pressure is no more than stock and the pedal grabs about 1.5 to 2" off the floor which is right where i like it.
im not stating that Textrailia is better cause i have never used a mcleod but if its a street clutch your lookin for, than textralia would be it just cause of how easy it is on the street driving around...goodluck.
