Default Hand ported head pictures

I'm going to have my heads cleaned up, does anybody have pictures of a set of stock 241 heads that have been hand ported?

Thanks
Jack

Take the ramp and rocker bolt boss out and blend it to the existing area of the port. Tear drop shape the guide bosses, both intake and exhaust. The little hump on the exhaust side just past the guide boss is there for coolant passage clearance so just smooth that into the port roof, just take enough material out to take it down flush. In general, dont mess with the port floor- just sand paper roll it and blend it. When ya get the machine work done on the heads, have a 33 degree back cut done on the intake valves, deshroud the valves in the combustion chamber out to the gasket line, and have the throat of the ports opened up to 90% of the valve size then mill to what ever you want the size of the chambers to be(.006" per cc). All of this plus some other stuff I do is visible in those pix in that link.

Do you suggest scribing .050 from the intake runner sides and blending that down the length of the runner? How about opening the exhaust port up? I had planned on opening up the port about .030 with cartridge rolls, but only smoothing the short side, not removing much material. Should we try for more of a D shape on the exhaust by touching up the floor corners?

Thanks,
-Tony

Are those really 241's? I thought only the LS6 had the non circular combustion chamber?

The one on the left is supposed to be 243 and the right is 241...right? What am I missing?

EDIT: Nevermind...I think the pics in that link confused me because I thought that the v shape in between the exhaust and intake was ONLY on the LS6.

refer to the cutaway pic on how to port the exhaust:
www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=414121
You are right on the chamber shape, the LS6 head has the dual quench style chamber but both have the v between the valves on the opposite side from the spark plug.
