what gears in my 98 z28? i need to know what size gears i have in my auto 98 z28, i looked at the dealer paper that came with the car, that says all the options, and it says that it got the performance axle, what gears do these come with, i think there 3.23 but im not sure can any one help me thnx

I would say most likely 3.23 but there is a chance that you could have 2.73 there should be a list of RPO codes on the inside of your drivers door, you could go thru all the codes and find out for sure.
GU2=Axle, Rear 2.73 Ratio
GU4=Axle, Rear 3.08 Ratio
GU5=Axle, Rear 3.23 Ratio
GU6=Axle, Rear 3.42 Ratio
GU2=Axle, Rear 2.73 Ratio
GU4=Axle, Rear 3.08 Ratio
GU5=Axle, Rear 3.23 Ratio
GU6=Axle, Rear 3.42 Ratio

is there any way i can find out? oh! i checked and i found GU5 on the door, but im gonna try and ask my mechanic if he changed the gears.
