Best Chassis Shop In HTown To Do Rear Install?
I had the opportunity to get a Strange 9" with a Wilwood brake system from my old man, so I took it. It's a ladder bar setup, and that's what I'd like to keep it as. I want to do it just to have something different. I don't need to mention that it will dead hook if it's setup properly. Does anyone have any personal experience with a reputable chassis shop in Houston that would be able to do the fab work to get this thing setup? I'm sure as hell not doing this twice becuase someone ***** up. I can take pictures if any of you guys are interested (bitch is reinforced to take a beating). It was supposed to to go in my old man's alcohol funny car, but he scrapped the project and bought a brand new Winnebego. He says it should take 1200 HP all day long. I don't plan on getting anywhere near that, but I want to finally break into the 16's. For reference, it will be going into a 2002 Z/28 with a T-56. I need to get my subframes on (SLP diamonds) as well. It looks like the ladder bar mounts will need to be welded to the subframes as I guesstimate them to be about a foot longer than LCA's. I have the stock aluminum driveshaft which I would just want shortened for the time being because I don't plan on rolling on my Prostars and racing until next summer. LMK what you think, guys.

Basically you want a back half set up with out back halfing the car but you want to do it right. Hmmm..... to do it right...... I'd say you're looking at spending more $$$ then you think. And the Torque Arm is a proven setup that is not even reached it's limits yet, so I don't know why you'd want to get rid of it. A torque arm car can dead hook just as good as a ladder bar setup, I'm sure Madman will tell you all about it. If you plan to still go Ladder Bars, get ready to unload some money, I'd say no less then $3000 as much as $15,000.

I'm willing to back half the car if need be, which I know is pretty much necessary. When I meant done right, I meant not throwing it in there any way it will fit and calling it a day. I'm willing to put some money into this. I know it's not gonna be some couple hundred dollar job. I plan to make this an all out drag car when I finish school, so I mine as well get it setup right the first time.
