Default Finished head/cam swap

I finished my head and cam swap after 2.5 days last night. I put brand new LS6 (243) heads on the car with 26918 springs and a comp 228/228, .588.588, 112 lsa cam. Started it up and it sounded freakin sick with only headers. I cut the old exhaust off because my TSP true duals will be here Monday. Here is a link to some pics.

The only problem I had with the swap is I cut a fuel injector wire in the back when I put the intake back in. that sucked to reach, but I extended the wiring by 3 inches.

I won't be getting it dynoed until the beginning of next year. It will go to Jeff at Carolina Auto Masters for a new tune and dyno. I will post them. I wanted to get Patriot LS6 style II heads, but these heads were bought new for $470 shipped and I couldn't beat the price.

The heads came from some guy in Canada. I posted the link up awhile back. He had an overstock of them (LS2) heads and sold them dirt cheap. I couldn't pass it up and bought a pair, then posted the ebay link on here for anyone else to grab. He sold out quick I think.

The results are in. I went to Carolina Auto Masters yesterday for a tune and dyno and I have to say I am very pleased. The numbers are 422 rwhp/408 rwtq. Here is the dyno.

I don't think so either. With $470 on the heads, $175 on the cam, and $400 on the exhaust I am in good shape. The only small mod later might be a 50-75 dry shot, but not anytime soon.
