Well seeping fluid from the actuation rod inside the car would be a sign. An inconsistant pedal, or a pedal that doesnt build pressure well (have to pump)Or a pedal that bleeds off when held down.

any shape way or form a bad master could make a clutch slip or destroy a clutch? my spec is shot and i want to make sure before i order a new clutch. doesnt appear to have any leaks at all, just a squeaky clutch pedal when i let off. fluid is full and has been to the best of my knowledge. pedal feels inconsistent but the clutch still feels shitty. when i say inconsistent it still grabs at the top just sometimes it only catches when the clutch is all the way out. i can push the pedal down just barely and can change gears also.

High release is usually a worn clutch but not always. If it started as a low engagment & ended up high I would be suspicious.
But a consistantly high release/engagement can be blamed on the hydraulics.
I would suggest getting a new slave & a an adjustable master w/ the drill mod done to the line. Maybe something besides spec as well.

I'm not sure how much $$ you have to throw around, but why not just buy a new master from GM? I think it's $125 or so. If it doesn't fix the problem, at least you replaced it before it failed anyway (which it will eventually )

i have no money to throw around thats the problem. right now im not working, if it was summer time i would have put a new master in there weeks ago to try it. definately wont hurt, but if it is infact the clutch im screwed cause i just spent money i didnt have and then i have to spend more lol.

just trying to see if anyone had some similar issues and the master helped. what makes me feel its the master is it is almost inconsistent. somedays it will bit and spin the tires in 2nd no problem and others it feels sluggish if i hit it in 2nd. but then again it could be a clutch lol

You need a clutch. If the master's OE I'd recommend doing it also, specially if your modded & run it hard.
