post your pics of your aftermarket shifter. i searched
I have a TH400 with fwd manual V/B. looking at installing a Magnum grip Pro-Bandit. I searched and couldn't find any pics With the application. If any of you have anypics please post up and give pros/cons to the install. Not dead set on the Pro-Bandit, so if there are any others that are more suitable feel free to post up.
And before you ask why don't i stay with the stock shifter i will tell you why. I was in a street car shoot out and the track was not hooking for shat. Had to leave on motor and short shift to 2nd before getting into the kit. The car hooked and made me ****** the shfter back to 1st. Not good!! The new kit is on a micro switch, but i would like the Shifter as well.
Thanks

I have a pro stick, I dont care much for the pistol grip shifters but thats a personal thing. I agree the stock shifter sucks, the pro stick was a fairly easy install and looks good in the console. The pro stick is real similar to a quarter stick, you always know what gear you are in once you get used to the gate - cheap too

I need to adjust the placement of mine before I fit the console top back on. But similar to kp's when its done, hopefully.

Those are some nice setups. The only reason i wanted to go with the Pro-Bandit was, I thought i had read that you didn't have to do any cutting on the console.
The pro-stick looks pretty nice also. So is it a direct bolt up to the stock location or is there some fabrication that needs to be done? Can the average Joe do the install? Looks like on KP's car he had to use some sheetmetal. Also, does your reverse lights work?
Do you all have front or rear exit cable? I would think you had front exit.
Thanks for the pictures guys. If there are anymore i would like to see them. I am sure there are a few others in here that are looking for the same thing.

My Pro Ratchet is front exit cable, has P/N Safety switch and Reverse lights switch hookups, I still need to wire when I adjust it over. You could do it with very little fabbing, basically I used a 1/4" plate of aluminum cutout to match pattern of stock shifter, then drill in the mounting holes for the Pro-R. Use a spacer in the rear of the shifter so the Airbag module lays in its stock location (if you still use it) and then cut the console. I was in a slight rush as this is my DD and didnt space the mounting position out correctly, so should be fixed this w/e.

The TCI shifter looks good in there.
The pro stick comes with a nuetral switch but no reverse light switch, the 'bumps' are there for it and you have to buy the microswitch seperate if you want it. Its just bolted to an aluminum plate where the stock shifter mounted and its spaced up.
I also put a B&M Hammer in my old camaro, probably one of the better 'looking' setups but you need a M6 console top.

Thanks for all of the post guys. I figured there would be some one out there with a Pro- Bandit.
Keep the pics coming so we can see all the options that F-body owners have. So the next time someone ask this question, they can find it in a search.

Hurst pistol grip in the stock console here. I had to fabricate a riser to raise the shifter off the floor enough to work in the console. I have pics without the console installed if anyone wants to see.

I'm running a B&M shifter **** for the M6, just used the plastic adaptors that came with the *****. I have a billet m6 one, and the original white one, if anyone is interested. I got this faux leather one so my hand would not slide off and because I wanted a taller ****.
