Im gonna pull the diff cover off this weekend. What things do i need to look for in reference to the internals? also, where do i fill it from? is there a fill plug and a seperate drain one? i would assume there is, but just wanna be sure ;)

Stock cover dosent have a drain plug, has a fill jole though. If you dont have a flexable hose to use when you fill it back up youre going to hate either the panhard rod or the sway bar, i cant remember which.

Make sure your gasket seal is not torn, or your rear-end will start to leak. When you run out of fluid, guess what, rear-end breaks. Look closely at the gears and try to notice any unusual wear patterns. They should not be wearing more at the top or bottom, but evenly in the center, looking at it from top to bottom. Hope this helps.

Some auto parts store carry small pumps that screw in to the gear oil bottle that will make life easer...or something like whats used to fill a t56 a suction tool that looks like a grease gun it will take longer but well worth not making a mess..
