Default Best time and place to purchase a new Chevrolet 2500HD Duramax?

Dealership or internet?

Time of year (month)?

I'm looking to buy soon and need the best deal possible. A co-worker of mine just bought a Tahoe and got 0% financing. That's something I'm looking for as well. I saw a commercial about a red tag sale, but wasn't sure if it applied to trucks. I'm looking for a 2005/2006 Chevrolet 2500HD Duramax, 4 door, 2WD, and either charcoal grey or silver. Would like it loaded except leather. Let me know, thanks.

Get leather. It will be much easier to clean.

Ron Carter? Wow, that would be the last place I would think to buy from. I always hear about Landmark having the best deals and they will beat any deal. I've looked around there a few times within the last 6 months and they don't have much of a selection.

I had leather in my Camaro and I didn't like it. Not that it wasn't comfortable or anything, just that it was so hot in the summer that it would burn you and so cold in the winter. Easier to clean is probably the only upside to having leather.

I have leather in my Tahoe. The cold weather is nothing because my seats are heated. If you get tinded windows the seats do not get too hot.

I'm gonna get tinted windows for sure, but if I have to spend extra money for heat warmers just to be comfortable in leather which is already way more expensive, then I'll just stick with cloth. Not worth it in my opinion.

right now would be the best - they're having their annual red tag sale. End of the year sales are always the best. End of the year sales as well as the sales that go along with getting rid of the last years and getting the NEW years - during the summer months.

I'll probably be purchasing an F-250SD..drove one last weekend and fell in love. Diesel, leather, FX4, black, towing package - GORGEOUS. I'm on the X-plan so I could get it for about $42k. I'm going to lease it and put about 15K down - payments for a 36 month lease were 529 - 550. I was like SUHWEET! I'll be back in about 3 months!

and the red tag sale DOES apply to trucks - but they're usually the base models.

But I did see a Tahoe Z71 for about 30K

I wouldn't take my dog to Landmark or Bill Heard. Landmark royally screwed my best friend last year.

I bought my 06 Z71 from Munday Chevrolet about 3 months ago and was surprised by the great customer service and willingness to work with me, especially from such a large dealership. I would definitely buy from there again.

why would you lease it? putting 15 g's down and LEASING it for $529/$550 mo.??? You could own that thing in about five years w/ a smaller payment!

i have a habit of getting sick of vehicles. So at the end of 3 years - if I still want the truck I can finance the remaining portion of the lease or trade it in for something else. If i trade it in - I'm guaranteed the value of the truck, at that time.

And i'm sorry - i believe the most you can put down on a lease is 25%. So they were figuring my payments if i put $9k down on the lease. My apologies.

Plano, Texas is where they're located. That would be a good drive to purchase a vehicle. Is he willing to make a deal worth driving out there for? $38,000 is the best deal I've gotten without TTL for a 2006 2500HD Duramax with the 2LT package/options. I would also be putting my 2000 GM points towards it for a total of $36,000. Then my current truck would be going towards it for a trade in. I hope to get around $7000 for it. That would put me around $29,000-$30,000 for the truck. 2.9% financing for 4 years, 3.9 for 5 years, and 4.9 for 6 years.
