Gains 3 mph in the 1/8 but only 1 mph in the 1/4
Help me figure out the reason for this. Here's some background:
I installed a low-end biased cam 206/212. Pulls hard from off-idle and through the midrange. The topend felt like stock cam.
If the cam makes the same topend power as the stock cam, then shouldn't the 3 mph gain in the 1/8 carry over into the 1/4?
Because it only showed a 1 mph gain in the 1/4, does it mean that it LOST 2 mph worth of power between the 1/8 & 1/4 markers?
All of this happened last year and I have made changes that make this a moot point. But I have not really figured out the reason. I have made assumptions but I am having second thoughts on it and now think my assumptions of losing topend power is wrong. Can you guys set me straight?
