Getting ET Heads..need help picking out the right one's..
Ok i want to get some heads for my car..its an 01 ws6 with full bolt ons and a cam but i have stock heads..it put down 420rwhp with the mods i have now..i want to get some et heads but they have such a variety im kinda confused..im guessing anything over the 215 heads would be overkill for my 346ci? if not what is? also im confused on all the options i can get..
heres some questions..do i need the custom factory rocker arm stand if i want to run stock rocker arms? and what is the 55* seat added to the heads is that woth the money? and also what the hell is the big exhaust option? sorry for all the questions..hopefully craig or someone can point me in the right direction..

if it was me i would call ET and tell them what your goals are for your car and they will tell you what will work best for you.as for the *55 seat, that is a *55 degree seat angle instead of the std. *45 angle,i think it helps flow in the higher lift range.i don't know about your other questions, just call them and ask.

????
the 55 degree seat option is only intended for all out racing applicatons. They flow better in the higher lift ranges and increase the throat area with the same size valve by about 1-2 percent. It works better on the high port applicatons like the c5r and the LS7. what comes standard with the 215-265 is a 45 degree seat angle. 2.040, 1.570 valves and standard chambers are 62 or 72 cc chambers. we mill from there to achieve desired volume. also on the 215, is standard 3.900 bore. we can also use a 4.00 bore chamber when requested. I would like to see a 215 or 225 on a 346. 6.0 liter and 402 should use a minimum of a 225 cc. 215 will work, but may fade at a lower rpm. 245 cc will also work well on a stick shift 6.0 or 402. I will be going back to the dyno after I get back from the PRI show. We will be running more of the larger cylinder heads to prove out the myths and wonders. I appreciate the feedback from our supplied website info, this will help us make it more simplistic and informative. We will be filling a tremendous amount of backorders over the next few weeks. I appreciate the patience of the guys who have been waiting. I'm sure it will be worth it at the end. We just cannot cut any corners.

Cary, I read in recent post that these heads require some minor modifications to run. Due to the fact that they are a little taller the Fuel Rail Cover and the alternator bracket must be altered. The stock wires also become too short and must be replaced. This may only be for vette owners, not sure.

as far as the mods on a vette, I haven't seen one for myself, but from what I was told by Andy at A&A, if a shorter valve cover spacer is used the problem would not exist. we have addressed the issue on our castings and raised the valve cover rail a little more so the spacers would not be ness. These changes would not be seen for a short while for we have a lot of heads already done. The new castings will be avalible in about 6 weeks.
