Thumbs up Performance Racing Industry 2005 Photos!

Here are all the photos that I took in the past three days while attending the PRI (Performance Racing Industry) convention in Orlando. There was a TON of LS1 related stuff this year, the industry loves this little GM engine. Even in the machinery section of the show, almost every piece of equipment had LS1 related parts jigged up on them.

Tons of new Gen III/IV parts!

That Wilson intake was the talk of the show. It is supposed to retail for around $2900. Thats less than most sheetmetal intakes.

Any talk about what rpm range it will be used for? Hopefully something to compete with other street manifolds?

It is intended for high rpm use on bigger cube (427ci+) type engines.

Wow, they even had Casper's motor there? Very cool.

Those twin superchargers look interesting. I wonder how efficient that setup is. Its by W2W, so you know it has to be badass...

Looks very promising. Even Crower is starting to make more LS1 parts.

Must of been a bit chilly in there.

900 hp on the engine dyno so far. So yes, it appears to work well!

Thumbs up

Tony,

I saw you there but you were surrounded by LS1Tech minions and Gray was talking real loud so I didn't get to talk to you right then but glad you came. You have been to PRI before right or was this your first time? It's an awsome show with almost too much to see. I think you guys were in front of the Precision Turbo display when I was there.

First time to PRI, I went to SEMA the last two years. I like Las Vegas as a location, but I like PRI better as a show. SEMA has better cars and booth babes though.

i talked with them about it as well. port sizing at the head is the same as AFR 225. internally, it's really nifty. they showed me i pic of it without the plenum top on it. still has longer runners inside. they do not stop at the plenum. i have their catalog with the CAD drawing in it. the $2900 price tag includes intake, TB, fuel rails, and injectors i was told. all CNC machined. asked if they were going to do an 'as cast' design to lower cost. said no. didn't want to compete with the FAST intake they helped design.

What I thought was interesting was the 11 degree heads that Competition Cams owned RHS had on display. Looked exactly like the ones I have from ET.
