Default wide band and HP tuner question

I have HP tuner and currently working on my turbo setup which isnt complete yet. I want to get a wideband setup and wondering what i should do.

My question is... If i get the enhanced version for HP tuner what do I need to plug into it on the wideband side.

like this?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/O2-Al...QQcmdZViewItem

Would something like this be all I need to plug into HP Tuner? or do I need the whole data recorder and everything that comes with like a LM-1 or dynojet wideband kit?

I dont want to buy everything if the HP Tuner will do the same. Or do I have to? I have no clue really.

Thanks.
Marty

you need to get a full wideband package...not just the sensor part of it..
teh full wideband has a contrller that interperets and heats teh o2 correctly

LC1 kits are around $200
a few vendors on here do it for a litle less...shipped

and daaayyyummm..that guy on there paid $249 new for just the sensor...it a vw part that you can get for $40 at some online places...

If you fit a LC1 wideband, how long will it last?

a wideband sensor will last as long as a narrowband sensor if installed in the proper location and is heated properly all of the time while in use.

meaning by me using it in the stock narrowband location and using the stock connector to give it power for the heater..it will last about the same amount of time as a narowband o2...
and they last longer if you preheat them by turning the key and sitting for 30 seconds before starting the car...

loaction and power for the heater can make it last or kill it quick

There seems to be confusion as to preheating the sensors. Innovative suggests not to preheat the sensor (for example we don't sit with the key on our stock cars and wait 30 seconds before we start them to make sure the sensors are hot).

See Klatins reply on Innovative forum.

Here is a special on the LC1 with a gauge which will work great with HP Tuners. If you do not need the gauge PM us for pricing on the LC1 alone.

Good luck and Happy Holidays!

I just read and asked klatin in a pm..and he says that teh manual does not state that properly and it is a little misleading. he also stated that it is better to not preheat the sensor by turning it on for a little befopre starting the vehicle....
he said that in some climates it can cause condensation that will be blown into the sensor pumps damaging it...

so I will change that in the writeup
