gauge overlay

Default gauge overlay

how difficult is it to put in one of those white face gauge overlay things in on a trans am

Fairly simple. There's really nothing hard to it. The facory overlay can really be stuck on there, so you will have to pull on it pretty good. The hardest part will probably taking the cluster out and putting it back in, and that's not very difficult at all.

huh????

Dont you just
1. pull the cluster
a. remove the screws around the bezel...
b. and the two bolts holding the stearing column up...
c. allow the column to drop down..
d pull out the cluster

2. position the overlay
a. watch the nedles..

3. reverse the process

30 min top..

thats how it was on my camaro.

What he said^. I thought you just overlay the "overlays" on the current gauge faces.

No, you take the factory overlay off the cluster.

The factory has no overlay. The gauges are painted plastic. Are you thinking of the CLEAR BEZEL?????

There is an overlay over the plastic housing that covers the lights and such inside the housing. You remove the needles then pull the factory overlay off.
