New 00 Camaro SS Owner
I love the car and think I made the right choice for not going with another Corvette this time. But I do have a few questions, the first one is there is alot of noise when driving it. When I get moving I hear a tick tick tick, its light and sounds like its comming from the wheels. Also there is alot of rear wheel noise. Are all of these noises normal, its only got 27k on the car. Also another concern is that somtimes when it idles I can see some smoke come out the right exaust pipe and somtimes both but I can only see it at nite with the flood lights on and its very slight most the time. Another question is, is my warrnty still good at all? Because I hear that if you got with all SLP performance then your warranty is still good. I know its a long shot for how old the car is but its only got 27k miles on it and had warranty work already done to it and one of the things that was repaired is acting up again. The AC makes the whole pasanger side vibrate and puts out almost no air. I get just enough to defrost my windows slowly. Thanks everyone

One last question I read that it is a must to raise the car up, pull the oil plug and filter then lower it back to, to drain it all. Then raise it back up again to put the plug and filter back in. I have never done this with any of my cars, I just roll it up the ramp and do it all at once. Do I need to do all of that because I use ramps and not a jack.

just get rid of the oil like any other car, and run a good oil. your warranty is usless unless there is some kind of extended warranty on the car. sounds like your rear end is going out on you.

Drops...a teaspoon or so at the most?....not enough to worry about in my opinion. But I'd like to see somebody who thinks different post up their opinion.
As for car covers, I have seen alot of threads on this lately. Do a search to find more info though. (I can't remember where the threads where exactly, otherwise I'd dig them up right now for ya)

Thats it, a teaspoon? I mean I read a review that said a minus to the camaro was because you had to lower it to get all the oil out. Made it sound like it leaves way more then that. Well thats great, so I can just use my ramps. Alright I will do a search on covers.

I have to agree with the oil issue, a very small amount is trapped in the rear of the pan due to the angle but nothing I would worry about. Like Zymosis I lowered the car down when I changed the oil for the very first time in it and hardly any drained from the back of the pan.

I did some research and this is the only reasonable cover I could find that I feel would not scratch my car. But it does not say what size it is.

Or do you all think I would be fine with a nylon cover?

I know there are more, but for some reason, I can't find the thread for the life of me.
