Default Is there an easy way to remove spot welds?

I have been removing a couple more brackets that I had left in the engine bay and they sure are a pain to remove. What I've been doing is drilling them out. Is this the correct procedure or could I have gone about this a different way?

I've always just ground them down with a side grinder.

They make special drill bits to remove spot welds. My father informed me of this after I removed a bunch with a regular drill bit.

Yeah I figured drilling them out was the only way. They sure are a major pain in the ***.
