I need gift ideas, I have been with my girl for over 3.5 years and I need to find something to get her....previous gifts were tiffany's jewelry on several occasions (nothing extremely expensive though), digital camera, coach purse, and other small stuff, what have you guys bought for your lady friends and had success with?

considerations as of right now: ipod (don't know if she will use it), another purse that she said she wanted earlier but I have already bought her a purse before

I am 20 and at college so keep it under $300...

Dont waste money on purses. Even if she wants it really bad it will be just another one for the collection. Ive done stuff like this before to have them only use the damn thing maybe 3 times.

A big block chev 572 damnit. Hmm, christmas time, how bout a victorias secret gift card, say 100 bucks good for one or two or three things depending on how she spends it, but you can both enjoy it. Jewelry is what Ive done the last couple of years too, this year its going to probably be pots and pans, things that will benefit the both of us, since were supposedly moving out together next year.

Gift wrap the things yourself, the tackier they look the more happy shell be cause you've put effort into it.

Clothes, shoes, a new stereo in her car installed w/ her favorite cd in it so when she turns it on its playing etc.

A REAL nice coat might be a good idea.

I was going to say this too, a nice full length or jacket style coat (depending on what style she likes/wears most)
Jewelry is always good too, a nice watch, some earrings, a pendant.
Purse is a good one too, I bought my wife several, and she uses them all (depends on the season what purse she uses)
You could also see about getting her a spa day, the give her a facial, massage, manicure, pedicure, and sometimes will do a makeover. (that one it's acceptable to use a gift certificate)
A gift card, unless she asked specifically for it, isn't the best idea, they like you to put some effort into the purchase, rather than just a gift card

If you've been dating for 3.5 years, you MIGHT consider visiting your local bank (loan) and getting her an engagment ring for Christmas! :)

If not, I vote for a romance package for two at the spa OR by herself, a bunch of cd's, perfume, and a box condoms. That should be about $300 total.

I'd say a gift card to her favorite local mall (not all malls have them). Nobody knows what she wants more than she does. I have been dating my GF for 4.5 yrs. I'd like to buy her something nice and creative that she will love but we are both to the point that she would rather just have a gift card.

I tried getting creative one time and getting her something she didnt ask for and she ended up taking it back .... so thats how that works out
