Default Cobalt gauges in a T/A???

Just wondering if any of you T/A owners have the blue Cobalt gauges? I like their look, but since the T/A's have red interior lighting, I figure the Cobalt gauges probably wouldn't look right. BUT, what do you guys think? AND, does anyone have pics of a T/A with Cobalt gauges? Thanks....

Whether the blue cobalts look good or not with amber dash lighting is entirely up to you. What you could do is refer to this thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...light=blue+led I think he has a couple kits left. I dunno if your car uses actual amber lights but if it uses amber plastic to achieve their color, that'd be a problem. Or hell just get a cluster and hvac control from a camaro, buy the led kit, and you're all set.

Yea but I want to keep my red lighting the way it is. I just want to see some pics of the cobalts with the stock lighting.

I love the way mine look, I get lots of compliments on them. (Another plus is that they're LED lit and they don't get hot to the touch).

Cheers,

Hey Rob, where's the red reflection coming from on the dash and steering wheel?

I had my thumb over the flash to cover it up.

It's hard getting a good pic of the lights without having everything else black, hehe. I think I took about 20 pics trying to get a decent one.

If you have a digicam there should be a setting for night time pics without a flash! Those look good tho! What about using the Cobalt Tach and Speedo in that gauge panel that is being sold on these boards?

Nah, I think I will leave the stock gauges. I don't like the white face gauges as they tend to bother my eyes.

I just needed a trans temp gauge and boost gauge and I liked the look of the Cobalt ones and the fact that they're LED lit and wouldn't get hot - and that they would fit in the A/C vents if I fabbed up some mounts out of black plastic. I recently found some little carbon fiber trim rings at a motorcycle shop that happened to fit well so I threw them on, no pics of that yet. Maybe I will try to take some new pics this weekend, I just put on some LS1speed blue anodized fuel rails and braided line too.
