Cool Opinions of Yank's SS3400

Ok first off, I will begin by telling you guys about my car.

2002 Camaro SS NBM with 41K
Stock except for an MTI lid and K&N.
Waiting on Subframe connectors....

My car is my daily driver. My plans for the future are:

LCAs, Panhard bar, Torque arm, Upper and Lower A arms.
QTP 1 3/4 HVMC
QTP catted Y
GMMG Exaust
224 on a 114 cam
AFR 205s
Fast 90mm intake and NW 90TB.

I *might* upgrade to 3.42s in the future but im not really sure. I kinda like my 3.23s...

Im asking for opinions since Yank is having their sale going on on these TC and well I wanted to know if its a good choice.

Thanks!

sounds like a perfect match, you will be really happy with the converter, you might even want to go with the ss3600 that is what i just put in 2 weeks ago, very strong converter the ss line is really nice. can't go wrong with yank

Yeah i drive my car almost everyday, the converter is really nice when i am driving around town. If you are gentle with the throttle and get up to speed over 35-40 the rpm will not go any higher than 2200. If you are slightly in a hurry and give it about 1/3 WOT then you will be around 3000-3100. It is cold here now but i can be doing around 30-40 and if i mash it to the floor it will still break loose. Plenty of converter I personally would not go higher than ss3800 but that is your choice. I can't wait till the summer when i can go to the track with some slicks. I have also just driven in two snow storms and we all know how that can suck with these cars, but to be honest i do not think it would have been any different with a stock converter. I hope this helps some, i sould say if you are driving around town mainly you will see around 2mpg less, but on the highway it locks up just like stock. Once you put the converter in you are going to have to break it in for 150 miles of stop and go traffic to get the clutch inside to wear propperly. Dont just go out and mash it. Use only 1/3 throttle max in the 150 break in, you can look on the yank website for my info on that. hope this helps some

Don't bother - there's no perceptible difference from 3.23s - about 100 more rpm @ 80mph. The 3400 sounds like a great choice for you - but like chrs1313 said, be prepared to say goodbye to about 2 mpg in town.

Yes - I think it would make an excellent combo.
