no you dont want it running hotter, the cooler the engine stays the more power it will produce.

there's a point where being too cool hurts the power as well.

well yes, the cooler the temp, the more enrichment the computer gives-ie more fuel and spark advance. but like the vinci page explains, the motor and its tolerances are also affected by the temp, thus affecting how the motor runs, just wondering if this is to cold, should i set the temps 5-10 degrees warmer, I am in texas, so its no supr cold very often, long hot summrs, etc.

IMO, 175 is too cold for these motors. Both my (mostly) stock LS1 and modded LS1 have always seemed to run their best in the 190-200 range.

ditto.
with a cool down at the track, my car is almost 2 tenths off(slower) when ran at 160-175 as opposed to 190~ish.

Dynoed the car at RPM today, they said to leave it like it is, I have no knock and no detonation. Plus the car pulled really well, and its not to rich, the factrory tune ran awesome, they said the only thing they would cahnge is mayybe a little more timing since I have no cats. Plus the air fuel ratio was damn near a flat line across the whole pull. 332hpand 342 tq, not bad!
