Default Potential LS1s need some help

I assume now (during the winter time) would be the best time to buy a LS1, correct? Since its a rwd v8...Anyway, I've found 3 "fairly" decent deals within my area. I just wanted to know your guys thoughts and any advice you might have for me. And the 3 options are: 1. 2000 T/A Ram air for 19 grand with 20k miles M6 leather t-tops.. 2. 2001 t/a ram air for $18.5 with 55k miles M6 leather t-tops.. 3. 2000 t/a ram air for 17 grand with 41k miles M6 leather t-tops...

I will be owning this car for some time, so would it make more sense to spend a little more money and buy a 01 or 02 for sure? Or are my options up there decent enough?

Also, has anyone heard of or purchased a car from a place called The Performance Car Store, Inc.? They're located in Sicklerville, NJ. They seem to have a pretty nice collection of T/A's in stock all the time. Like are they reliable, good to do business with etc.? Any other advice or ideas would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

Obviously depends on color and what you are wanting, plus options, and how well maintained they are. But given they are equal. I would pick either #2 or #3. 3 only because it is cheaper.

You can get those cheaper if you talk. I'm going to see a 2001 Black WS6 with 40k miles on it for $15,000 today. They were asking 18, but I talked them down to 15 once they saw this snow storm come in today.

#1 is black and #s 2 and 3 are red. Im really liking the red one though. I was leaning towards #3 also. The options on all 3 are the same...ram air, m6, leather, t-tops. With everything considered how much do you think I could talk them down to for #3? Maybe around 15 grand? I'll be taking a friend of mine who is pretty car/mechanic savy so he can drive it also and check everything out for me.

Anything else I should be considering, at all? And has anyone heard of or purchased from the car dealership I mentioned? Thanks.

You can't compare an ss to a ws6 price wise. SS's are typically quite a bit cheaper. Get number 3 for sure. It's a 2000 so it's basically missing the ls6 intake ($400). There is a large difference in price and it even has lower mileage. If it checks out I'd take it no questions asked. However, it never hurts to talk someone down. They usually will lower the price, unless they have had many interested.

I think I'll go for #3 because of the mileage and price, hopefully a grand or so lower too. But if I can get #1 for around 17grand, I don't see why that wouldnt be the best choice. Come to think of it, I could care less if its an 00 vs. an 01 or 02 as long as mileage and overall condition is relatively similar. Any other input guys, anyone else? Thanks for the replies.

I agree, 19 grand for a 2000 even with 20k miles is a little too much. But 20k miles is hard to come by, so I think if i could get the price to around 17 grand then I would most likely get it. Any other thoughts?

Has anyone done business or heard of The Performance Car Store, Inc. in Sicklerville, NJ?

I think you mean choice #1? That is the one with 20k miles. The 2001 T/A has 55k miles for 19 grand. Now I'm just trying to see if this dealership is reputable. I'll also have to run carfaxes on them.
