Do i still need a shift kit with new converter even though i have LT1 edit?

Do i still need a shift kit with new converter even though i have LT1 edit? So in about 2 months my car is getting a total 383 rebuild, LT headers, and a Vig 3200. I was just wondering if i still needed to install a shift kit along with the converter even though i am going to be getting LT1 edit where you can supposedly change the line pressure (i think).
