Best way to remove orange peel on black paint?

best way and only way would be to wetsand it with 1,500 and 2,000 and then buff it out with polish.

There is only ONE way and that's break out the fine grit paper and lots of water.

I usually start by slicing through the skin, quartering the sphere, just deep enough not to cut into the pulp sections. Then, grasping the fruit firmly yet not too hard that I would crush it, begin to peel each quartered skin section off. It's important to remove as much of that whitish stuff too because it's kinda tough and ruins the taste...

clay bar works pretty good...depending on how bad the orange peel is.

Use Mark's method to seperate the peel from the orange, then apply liberally to car exterior...why would you want orange peel ON your car?

start off w a d-a till its getting flush then color sand w 2000 and buff w wool pad w heavy compound then light compound then foam pad w polish. thats the fastest way!

Haha. That would definately be the fastest way but seeing as how he isnt quite sure how to remove the texture in the first place I dont know if having him go at it with a DA would be the best choice lol. I can just see him coming back with pictures of the car he sanded with no clear left on it.

ya good point! speed is'nt always the best use 800 then follow up w 1500 then block sand w 2000 hay just in case
