Mark, do you work for Kmart? Just curious, noticed that you're located where KMart headquarters moved to.

I wax my car 3 times a week during the spring, summer, and fall. Winter she's kept in the garage and not driven, so i dont wax. All depends on what you want to do.

Haha when you do it as much as I do, it only takes about a half hour to 45 minutes to get the job done. I can only do it that fast on my own car because I got the whole routine down. Mind you, during the spring, summer, and fall I was going to multiple car events each week, so usually my routine was sometime in the beginning of the week I'd use a good cleaner wax like NTX, then follow up with P21S. Then at the weekly car show I went to on Wednesdays, I'd spray down with Meguiar's Detail Spray, then add a layer of P21S carnuba wax. Then usually Friday or Saturday there'd be something else going on, so another layer of P21S... wasn't really that hard to do three times a week, and it kept the car shiny, smooth, and slick. One time the club was driving somewhere, it started sprinkling for a few minutes during the drive, when we got to our location, my car was perfectly clean because the water just slid right off.

1 once or twice a month is all you really need. I use to work at a detail shop and I would recommend getting your car simonized. It is good for a year and you'll love it.

No but if you're referring to the Sears complex, yes it is in Hoffman Estates, IL. KMart bought Sears or Sears bought KMart, however you want to look at it...

I don't know you, but I'm pretty sure that statement hurts my eyes.

When I daily drove my car, I applied a fresh coat of sealant once a month. Now that it's weekends only, I haven't applied a coat in about two months.

It really depends on what kind of wax/sealant you use.

With a pure carnauba wax, once a month is a good rule of thumb. With a sealant, anywhere from 2-6 months (depending on product selection).

As far as the Simonize thing...

It's one of those "5-year sealants" that dealerships are infamous for.

One a side note, unless you have a hookup with simonize, u should just forget about it. A dealership i worked at charged $300 to do it and i haven't seen it much cheaper anywhere else. Not to mention that if you have to buff out a scratch or something with compound it will take the protection off and it must be reapplied to the entire car. Your car basicly has to be perfect inorder to get it put on. Thats why we only offerend it on new cars and trucks that we sold. I just stick to wax, looks better anyway. And with it never coming out of the garage, you should only have to do it about once every two months or so, probably not even that.

Uh-oh. I think I'm about 25 wax jobs behind. Car is garaged and covered 95 % of the time though.

I wax mine about once every 3 weeks to a month. I wax it right before i know the weather is going to turn bad and I can't wax it anymore, and then as soon as winter is over and the weather starts getting nicer I will spend an about a half hour just flushing out the undercarriage, door jams, under the hood, hatch, wheel wells, any place that might have salt on it or trapped. give it a good wash and start my monthly waxing all over. I hate winter!
