Default Some updated pics

I've been sick for 2 weeks so everything has slowed down but I still got some more hours on PurEvl's car.Mind you that this is being done at my house on spare time instead of the shop.I figure we have about 50-60hr's into it atleast since it is a first mock up type of deal.I wouldn't be surprised if I pull it off and redo the pipes and tig them for a better look --after it runs of course.

So right now we are waiting on flanges for the wastegate, piping for the coolant lines, battery relocation and a few misc. thing's.Should be up and running early Jan.

Here are some pics.

Some more exhaust. You can actually pull the tranny and do the clutch without touching the exhaust

It's a street car. A2W would be useless.

Hasn't been on the ground in a long time but we are not expecting any ground clearance problems. The lowest point is probly the cutout which is higher than the old Y-pipe.

Slowhawk, you know, I had all kinds of respect for you and your results...until you said an A2W is useless on the street. I'm curious what you mean?

The car is coming along very nicely, but this comment is just off.

Hey MIGHTYMOUSE and Mecham, did you guys have any problems with any A2A cars on the street this summer??? I didn't think so.

In all honesty though, people tend to underestimate how well a properly matched A2W setup actually performs on the street. It's pretty tough to find many people that want to run you for the more than 3 or 4 passes in a five minute window which might be what it takes to start to see a heat soak condition in the A2W system while tooling around on mild street boost.

A2W is nearly usless on teh street. If u have a water tank in ur car and teh onyl thing cooling that is the air in ur car how teh hell is the water gonna be any cooler thent eh air comin outta the turbo? They are great for the trips to teh strip OR if u have a bag of ice in teh car u can drop in to cool it all down then that is great for right then. But for fartin around on a weekend and then comin upon someone that wants to race and all u got is a tank full of hot *** water ur not gonna be doin all u could be.
Slowhawk the car looks great. Are yall using stock cast manifolds? i tlooks leikt eh stock heat shields on the manifolds. GL guys

I've tested both on the street. The A2W will heat up on hot day's/add alot more weight to the car ect. For a track car the A2W is the only way to go.
Maybe I shouldn't of said useless, just less efficient than an A2A This car will spend about 99% of it's time on the street.
